An integration developers guide to Azure private networking
Private networking is getting more and more common in Azure as organisations invest heavily in Zero Trust security. New security requirements enforces the use of private networking for PaaS services, which includes our API backends and messaging queues. As an integration developer you’ll need some additional tools in the toolbox to succeed with securing your integration platform. In this session we will cover the basic concepts of networking in Azure and look into the different networking options for the most commonly used Azure resources in our integration platform. We will deep-dive into Private Endpoints to get an understanding of how they work and why DNS is so important for them to function. You will also learn how Virtual Network integration works for our App Services to allow them to communicate with other resources in private VNets. And last but not least you will learn what tools you as an integration developer should expect the Azure Platform Team to provide you with to be able to work with the resources in private networks from Azure DevOps, GitHub and your workstation.
